About the “Round Britain Powerboat Race”

For the first time ever, the PRINTECRACING powerboat team is taking part in “The Round Britain Powerboat Race” with IKon, a modified Technohull Sea DNA 999.

The 2008 Round Britain Powerboat Race is considered to be the “Mount Everest” of all powerboat races!

The first round of Britain race was in 1969, the second in 1984 and finally, after many years, the third will be taking place from the 18th to the 30th of June, bringing powerboat racing to a whole new level.

It is the longest and toughest event in the world, where endurance and persistence make winners.
It will run through 1600 nautical miles across the hardest and most challenging conditions. Both the boats and the pilots are in for a great adventure where there are no guarantees.

The 100 touch points include coasts of England, Ireland and Scotland, while starting as well as finishing point for the race, will be Portsmouth, where the Race Teams will gather to celebrate this enormous event
